![]() Ran diagnostics from the F12 menu and everything passedĪny thoughts on how to fix this? The machine worked great until it didn't and I'd hate to junk it over this. The problem seems to arise from incorrect work of pm-utils. It occurs more often when working on battery. But after the first reboot it does the same shutdown behavior. Machine works great, plug in Internet, sucks down drivers and Updates. Did a clean install (deleting all partitions) with the Windows 10 USB installer, Internet disconnected.Tried to Reset from the Repair GUI but it shuts off before I can get anywhere meaningful.I did a "clean boot" where all services in msconfig were disabled and all startup items in Task Manager were disabled, didn't help.Machine is totally stable and runs forever in Safe Mode. Now try to shutdown, it should work fine right away If you booted in Kali with persistence, you wont need to redo this fix all the time.Leave the system ON in the same screen for couple of hours and check if it shuts down. I think I've narrowed it down to some kind of driver or Windows Update issue but have no idea how to fix it, since it happens even immediately after clean install, see below. Head to ‘ Tools ‘ > ‘ Options ‘ > ‘ System Options ‘ > ‘ Auto-Save and Backup ‘. Enable Auto-Save with DraftSight to ensure you don’t lose your files. When this happens you’re not always lucky enough to restore your files. I cannot boot to the normal desktop, it 100% of the time will spontaneously do a graceful shut down within a few seconds of getting to the login screen. Top Tip: we’ve all been in a situation where our system shuts down or reboots all of a sudden. ![]() ![]() This machine was working fine until last week, then this started.
